Truly free parking in Geneva is limited, but it does exist. The blue zone (zone bleue) gives 1-2 hours free with a parking disc, enforced Monday to Friday (08:00-19:00) and Saturday (08:00-18:00) - outside those hours, blue zone parking is free and unlimited.
Several P+R lots offer free entry on Sundays, turning a normally CHF 3/day lot into a no-cost option for the day - check the display board at the barrier, as this varies by lot.
