What every visitor and driver needs to know

Know the rules before you park. Blue zones, white zones, and paid meters -- each has different rules and costs.
Find Parking NowBlue zone street parking allows 1-2 hours free with a parking disc. You must display the disc showing your arrival time. Available in many residential and commercial areas.
Most paid street parking in Geneva supports EasyPark and ParkingPay apps. No coins needed. You can also extend your session remotely from your phone.
Many underground garages offer reduced evening rates after 18:00 and flat-rate weekend pricing. Always check the tariff board at the entrance before parking.
Geneva parking enforcement is strict. Fines start at CHF 40 for minor violations and can exceed CHF 100. Towing is common in no-parking zones, especially in the city centre.
Geneva has over 200 public EV charging points. Many underground garages include Level 2 chargers. P+R Bachet and P+R Etoile both have charging infrastructure.
Geneva residents can apply for a residential parking permit (macarons) for on-street parking in their zone. Monthly cost is significantly cheaper than public garages.
Flying from Geneva? The airport has multiple parking zones. Short-stay P2 is closest to arrivals/departures. Long-stay P5 is budget-friendly for multi-day trips. Shuttles run regularly.

Real experiences from drivers who used our guide
This guide saved me so much time. I used the P+R Bachet on my visit and it was incredibly convenient. CHF 3 for the day and the tram took me right to the city centre in 15 minutes.

As a Geneva resident I use P+R Bernex every day. Best value in the city. This guide has the most accurate pricing info I have found online.

Helpful guide for navigating Geneva parking. Airport P5 long-stay saved us a lot on a week-long trip. Would have been nice to have a booking link but the directions were clear.

Very comprehensive. The blue zone explanation was exactly what I needed. Street parking near Old Town is possible if you know where to look.

Excellent resource. I was worried about parking in Geneva but this site made it very straightforward. P+R Etoile was perfect for our shopping trip.

Geneva is a compact city, but parking can be tricky. The city centre has strict regulations and limited spaces. Understanding the zones, rates, and best alternatives saves you time and money every visit.
