Geneva Parking Zones - City Centre
Central Geneva is divided into coloured parking zones. The city centre falls mostly within the white zone (Zone Blanche), where paid parking applies from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 20:00. Parking is free on Sundays and public holidays.
On-street parking in the centre is typically limited to 2 hours for visitors. Residents hold special permits (macarons) that allow overnight and unlimited parking in their neighbourhood. If you are visiting Geneva for a full day, using an underground car park is more convenient and often more affordable than feeding meters all day.
The most central underground car parks are Parking Rive (near the lake and Rive tram stop), Parking Mont-Blanc (steps from the main shopping street) and Parking Cornavin (directly under the main train station). All are open 24/7 and accept credit cards.
